Guys, Don't read this. The Wize Old Man is sure he'll be unwelcome by management of most strip clubs for letting this out but you know as well as he does that there's less sex in a topless bars than there is in a regular bar.
Ladies, forget it. Your man ain't getting it there. Nope. The Wize Old Man has been in hundreds of strip clubs and not once has he gotten off in one. And, just in case your definitions of sex is the same as our former President, that includes oral sex. Hell, even the cigars are just for smoking.
On a slow night, an average stripper at an average club will pocket $200, on a good night $1000. And, no shit, I've seen guys spend over a grand on a dancer and still go home alone. And you think they'd be interest in your man? Ha! Frankly, most of them would be more interested in you than they would be in any man.
Let's see, $1,000,000+ for a building, lights, sound equipment, furniture just to open a club. Then the hassles from right wing Christian extremists picketing. Government agents crawling all over the place looking for an excuse to shut you down and you're worried the owner is permitting illegal sexual activity. Get a life! Men are visual and like to look. Not much different that buying a Playboy video, just more expensive.
Where you should be concerned is if your man hangs out in one of the local "meet" markets. The Wize Old Man has seen more connections there is one evening that he has in years of going to titty bars.
Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself and give your man a treat at the same time. Just visit the nearest topless bar with him. Hey, maybe you'll learn something that can spice up your relationship. And, if you want to be really, really sure, just ask your man to grab a dancer's breast during a table dance... just be prepared to leave with him immediately after that. But it is an effective way to make sure he can never go back to that club! LOL.

10/2009 The staff is very rude and will lie to keep married men in the establishment. When asked to have my husband come out and talk to me they denied me that. Then when his friend came out I asked him to go get him. The establishment put them in a cab knowing I was there. We have 3 children and when a wife finds their husbands at a place like this they should upon request to speak to them allow this. This place should not be allowed in the state of (deleted - ed.). What kind of a women would work in a place like this. A nasty one I say.
This was actually posted about a specific club but the Wize Old Man felt it showed such ignorance that it should be shared, and rebutted.
First off, not letting you know your husband was in the club isn't restricted to strip clubs. Partly because how the hell would they know you're really someones wife and partly because they don't want a "scene". If you're not happy with him being there what's wrong with waiting until he come home to reveal what a narrow minded jerkette he married?
Stay at a major hotel and forget your room number. The hotel ain'g going to tell you. Maybe you're looking for him to kill him. How would they know. Back in high school, the WOM was an usher in a movie theatre that had the same policy. It ain't only strip clubs that don't want other peoples drama.
Men ain't there to cheat. They are there to look, a few drinks and a little sympthy they don't get at home.
What kind of women would work there? Same kind of women who work anywhere. Many who don't have a husband to support them. You've got no right to judge strippers. Or; for that matter, any other human you don't know. Many are single mothers and need the income. Many are college students. About the only common denominator is that they are over 18 and, mostly, under 50 and not 100# overweight. If they had the morals you assume they wouldn't need to be dancers and work standing up in a smoke filled bar listening to men complain about their wives!
Be glad your husband supports you and comes home.

06/06 That is sooo true! I am a dancer & you have a better chance of getting laid by going to a regular bar, or even the library. The guys that come to strip clubs do so because it is a "safe" place to look and be entertained and even talk to a female without the behind the eyes speculation of what is this gonna lead to... There are no strings attached by talking to a woman in a strip club. -- Nadine
