  One of the few places in North Carolina that have a full liquor bar and also do nude dances. The Nude dances are in a separate room -- $30.00/song or $120/20 minutes. The couch dance room isn't private and there are bouncers in the room (she told me there weren't.).

  The bar is in the main area not far from the stage. Lots of friendly and good looking girls, Well worth spending a few hours here.

  The rest room is awful. No partitions between the stools. One stool with out a seat.

November, 2004

   A user reports that the Nude couch dances are back and that the club is open 'til 2:30 AM. Both of those would indicate that they no longer sell alcohol, yet most clubs that don't sell alcohol are fully nude and stay open to 4:00 AM. The Wize Old Man either has to make another trip to Selma or management needs to let us know what the deal is.

   Not a bad idea for the WOM to make the drive. This always was a fun club to visit and now he's got an excuse.

   First time the Wize Old Man has had an opportunity to check the nude dances at (name changed) Ranch. Nude dances are optional with the dancer. Some won't. Some try to talk you into a "flash" type dance. No good, it's not a couch dance and it's not a nude dance. Get one or the other!

   First dancer that asked wanted $50.00 and, friends, the WOM might be a simple country dirty old man but he ain't seen the pussy that's worth $50.00 for 2 minutes of "looking" at in a dark room. Don't get him wrong, the vagina is a woman's most beautiful part and he'd rather stare at a vagina for 5 minutes than boobs for a hour! Luckily, the next dancer only asked for $40.00. Even that's way to much but, it's been a while, and the WOM's memory ain't what it use to be so he went for it. And what a treat. Her's was Shaved AND had no hardware! Best of all, the couch room has enough light that you can actually see.

   The draft beer was served in a small plastic cup and was not very cold. It's a good value but the bottled beer is still recommended. The didn't get the full bar by the end of March as they said they would but they still plan on getting it back. And, even though, they said the club was not for sale, the Wize Old Man not only believes it was but that it has been. He's also hearing that the direct access road will be reopened this summer.

    A reader reports that (name changed) Ranch has made some changes. Couch dancers raised to $25.00 but they have two for one on Tuesday nights. Also removed the full bar and made that into the couch room. The old couch room has the pool tables which seemed too narrow.

    Also now offering nude dances which seem to go for around $50.00. Hard to see how they could still sell alcohol and offer nude.

    There's been a rumor around that the club was for sale. If someone from the club confirm that, it would certainly be reason for The Wize Old Man to recheck personally and for a lot of former customer to return as well. Film at 11:00 as they say.

     Located at the I-95 and US-70 interchange in Selma, just north of Smithfield, this club is welcome escape from the bikini clubs 45 miles to the north in Rocky Mount. If you're driving through from NY to FL, or vice versa, you might consider this a good place to take a few hours break. There are a number of motels at the same exit if you want to spend the night.

     There's nothing to really distinguish the (name changed) Ranch. The dancers run the range from overweight to skinny. None were fat; however, the average was probably 20# over clubs in the Triangle. Couch dances are so-so but a good value at $20.00.  Better than the air dances at some clubs but not so much contact as to get an erection. (Well, maybe if you're a 19 year old driving up from Fayetteville after an eighteen month tour in the desert!)

     The club is divided into 4 sections. Pool tables and beer bar in first room. Directly though to the stage, couch area to your right and a liquor bar in a separate area to the left. The stage is very large. Sort of a capital "I" where there's a brass poll at the top and bottom with the two connected via a runway. It's a bit too high anyone using bifocals. Acoustics are fair. DJ was OK. Music selection mixed.

     The separate liquor room is quite unusual. Most clubs are either beer only or have a full liquor license. The Wize Old Man has seen this arrangement before but not often. The liquor room also has a pool table but the crowd stayed in the main room and drank the $3.25 beer.

     Guests were mixed. Some Mexicans. Not a red neck as one would think and not really and truckers either. (No place to park a Semi.) No suits.

      No sign guide you to the club. Coming off of I-95, head west on US-70. Take the first right and the first right again and follow the road around like you were going to the EconoLodge.

Pros:

     Cheap beer. Friendly dancers. Southern hospitality. You'll feel appreciated.

Cons:

      A bit out in the boonies. Not easy to find the entrance.

Tip:

     A lot more tipping on stage that is typical. Instead of a single dollar, try standing there and tipping several times.

Overall

     .If you're closer to Selma than to Raleigh, Goldsboro, or Fayetteville, go.

Me and my wife (sic), porn star Savannah Sky attended the (name changed) ranch Saturday night and had a wonderful time. The drinks were very good with many top shelf liquors not available at other area clubs. All the girls were friendly and polite. there were girls for every taste imaginable. Plan on making this our regular bar.

I have recently made several trips to The (name changed) Ranch in Selma NC. The "nude" couch dances are just flash shows as you stated. Its $100 for 15 min and $200 for 30 min. Have they lost their mind or what? Anyway, they do still sell alcohol as they are still considered a topless bar. Just thought I'd give you an update for your site. Great site by the way! The other clubs I visit are the Executive Suite in Greensboro and Southside Johnny's in Greensboro. Although they are a good little drive for me a 2 1/2 to 3 hrs! -- JH

The prices have changed. $10 topless table dances.  $30 topless couch dances... $50 fully nude couch dances... Friday offers what is called showcase, that is where all the girls will give you 2 topless couch dances and a t-shirt that has the club logo on the back for $40...This is also offered on some Saturday nights.  Mainly Saturday nights has $1 table dances.  Tuesdays if you wear the t-shirt you get in free.  ...There is a $200 private dance that is full nudity... for 30 minutes.  Open till 2:30 am.  The girls are very friendly and I personally love the place especially when I get paid. -- DJ

Thanks for the comments. The WOM did edit them just a tad, hope you don't mind. Looks like another trip for the Wize Old Man to check out some of the changes. This club has gone between offering nude dances, to not offering them. Nude couch dances, a 2:30 AM closing would both point to either no alcohol or BYOB.

Second, 2 $10 topless couch dances for $40 ain't a special... well, maybe for the club! The Wize Old Man ain't paying $20 for yet another stinking club t-shirt he has to throw away before going home. Sheeze... -- WOM
