03/11 Great club and you just need to get to know the bartenders and he is cool. mel the boss at Excalibur in Morgantown does all he can to assure you have a great time while there. The last guy said it seemed like a waterintg hole well at certain times it is a bit slow so if people came in at 3pm all the time I'm sure they would provide entertainment but the average Joe isn't off work at that time as a rule and also the ladies need some time off during the week to rest up for the weekend so I think that was just bad timing on his visit, ask Mel he will tell you when the best times to be there are...
02/11 I talked more to the bartender than the girls. I was the only person in for quite some time, was happy to tip for the first couple rotations but one person can't support four dancers for long. This place seemed more a watering hole for the locals than a club. I wasn't impressed by the facilities. Soap and water go a long way.
11/10 The bartender was very unfriendly with everybody whether they were a customer or a fellow employee. I had to wait for the bouncer to stop playing his video game and take my money.
That was just the beginning.
I leaned on the bar and got black scum on it which one of the girls told me was because they used driveway sealer. The chairs, barstools, and maybe even the booths should have been replaced years ago with all of the tears and rips in them. I figured the place was worth a try though because the girls sitting at the bar seemed pretty friendly. It wasn't very crowded which surprised me since it was a weekend. Most of them had one excuse or another. When I asked where the other gilrs were (only three were in) I was told they had called off or didn't come in til later.
My overall experience was fine when it came to the ladies. One other girl did show and I believe I saw her there when I was in a couple of years ago. The couches they use for lap dances left much to be desired as the stuffing is actually coming out. I decided to try the hot tub tho as my lady for the evening seemed confident that I would enjoy it. I don't think I'll be going out there any time soon. Ever again. The tub itself was covered with a tarp that they just kind of dropped on the floor. After having been in the tub for a little bit I realized it was the water itself that smelled mildewy and there was a definite scum on the waterline.
The ladies at Excalibur are definitely nice. The club itself is run down and looks like it's about to slide into the river. Somehow it seemed reminiscent of the Tarentino movie where all the people in the bar turn into monsters.
We have this recession thing on so I wouldn't hold it against any club that has to postpone maintenance and upgrades. ~ WOM
